Bandsaw boxes are my new interest, much to the disappointment of my wife Louise.

As the name would suggest bandsaw boxes are made on the bandsaw. They are normally cut from blocks of wood which have been laminated together then cut into unusual and funky shapes. Small drawers are then cut from the blocks and so this style of craft works well as a jewellery box.

The drawers are then flocked which is a technique were a coating is applied to the inside of the drawers and leaves a velvet like finish which both protects jewellery from wear and tear and slows the tarnishing process which can occur when jewellery is in direct contact with wood.

Below are a few examples of the boxes I have made, if you see something you like or have ypur own design, please get in touch.
