Below are a couple of images of the process involved in making one of the house number plates. The wood in the first couple of images is Peruvian cherry which I bought in strips then glued together and clamped.  Once set, I cut out the template, in this case a maple leaf.  Then I can either cut the numbers using a router or burn them onto the wood prior to sealing.  I put hangers on the back making them easy to hang.

As can be seen from the other image, I sometimes glue different types of wood together as a contrast an to make it a little more funky.
